It is perfectly safe to wear contacts during your pregnancy although it is possible that 
your vision may change throughout or you may suffer from dry eyes. If this happens then you may want to make the switch to glasses or hydrate your eyes to avoid discomfort.
When it comes to labor, the decision to wear contact lenses will depend on how comfortable your contacts are in the final stages of your pregnancy as to whether you wish to wear them or not.
You will generally be asked to remove your contacts if you have a planned C-section although it will ultimately depend on the hospital’s policy or standard practice. In the event of an emergency C-section having to take place, it is also general policy to remove them prior to delivery, just in case! The reason why some hospitals may not allow you to wear contacts during surgery is to protect your eyes in the event that you are put under general anesthesia.
