Yes of course you can definitely wear socks during labor. Short socks or knee high socks or even anklets. What ever you feel most comfortable in.
Typically, women can wear whatever they want during the delivery of their baby. There are plenty of clothing options to wear and when it comes to socks, it’s a personal choice.
If you end up having a long labor you may start to get quite warm so be prepared to kick off your foot warmers, however most women do often say that their feet get rather cold during delivery.
If you are planning on walking around during labor, you may want to even consider wearing socks that have little rubber non-skid pads on the bottom so that you don’t slip over.
You can even wear socks during a c-secion if you want to. Some hospitals offer you compression socks or similar so discuss this prior to delivery day.
Don’t forget to pack them in your hospital bag and have them easily accessible if and when you need them.
